So, I continue to find that in my world, I only really have so much control. And, it's a bit difficult to handle that reality.
I have landed safely in Baltimore, and I'm staying with Adam. Work is good, the people are kind, and even the 40-minute commute is bearable. Still, though, I wish I had a little more stability. You know, like a place of my own that doesn't belong to someone else. A place where I can start finding creature comforts I need (read: coffee shop, places to work out). Anyway, I've tried to stay positive, but it's awfully challenging when I repeatedly reply to posts on Craig's List about apartments, but to no avail.
I do have a few observations about this move that are definitely worth sharing. First, it's incredibly easy to get lost in a new city. It's even easier to get lost when that city is close to another large city, and in between is suburban sprawl. There are too many beltways and interstates and people driving like they're practicing for NASCAR. In the span of a few days, I believe I was lost at least 30 times. I now am the proud owner of, not one, but two road atlases. One for the D.C. metro area (in which College Park is located) and one for Baltimore.
I plan to update every few days, at least until life gets really busy. Have a good one :)

Sounds stressful, but on the other hand, very exciting.
