An overdue update

I realize much speculation has ensued in the intervening week and a half since my last post about the VERY nice guy I've let into my life. Here's the general information for those of you salivating over my love life...

The "official" word on the matter is that I am indeed dating Chris. And, he is an fantastic person - he's thoughtful, caring, sweet, cute, funny, attractive, and open. I know many of you are asking why he might have an interest in such as ingrate as me! A legitimate challenge, for sure :)

There's zero drama to report. We have relaxing, rather mundane fun together, doing such amazing things as grocery shopping, reading, watching t.v., talking, learning about one another, and dining out (or in). So, aside from my sincere interest in his company, I can't report there's too much excitement surrounding this new relationship. Unless, of course, you consider that it is going well so far to be a satisfying source of entertainment.

Aside from the time I'm spending with Chris, life goes on in a fairly nomal fashion. I've started getting into the groove of the academic year. Writing papers, reading books and articles, and proposing paper topics have become the norm in my daily existence. I'm trying to keep working out and learning to make dinner on the radar screen, and I do a decent job of regularly contacting friends and family.

Anyway, the aforementioned items lend themselves to my explanation of not blogging more frequently... there's nothing too crazy happening. I'm learning traffic patterns, waking up to get to work on time, loving Lizzie (even though she bites me), and otherwise creating my own corner of the world here for myself. I'll keep you posted on anything else that crops up. Until then, simply keep me (and my continuing happiness) in your thoughts and hearts!
