My "real" doctoral classes began yesterday. The two seminars I take back-to-back on Tuesdays (six joy-filled hours of discussion-based class) are intense.

I don't know that people will see me doing much other than reading. So, get used to it.
In all seriousness, I'm very excited about the assignments, my peers, the instructors, and the literature. I'm nervous about how I will fit all of the things in my life into the available hours in a day.
I keep telling myself I'm a smart girl. I'll figure it out. But, you know... feel free to say a prayer for me!

The story about Dawson's Creek would have been weird if I DIDN'T really know you. Yes, I am the aforementioned NH2 former resident.
ArtGirl visited this weekend and she pointed me in the direction of your blog. Nice to know there are other Midwestern transplant, grad students that used to live in NH2 and now have a blog...
Anyways, sounds like classes started well! Everything always seems to get done, but there are always a ton of things left to do...
